2023 GameDay Squad Rugby League Scoring

With the inaugural GameDay Squad season in the books, it's time to scrub up on all things GDS in order to get ready for the biggest and best GameDay Squad season to date!


To give our coaches the best chance at success in 2023, we have released the scoring system that GameDay Squad Rugby League will be using this season down below



Scoring


The GameDay Squad Rugby League scoring for 2023 is as follows:


  • Try -10 points

  • Goal - 3 points

  • 1-Point Field Goal - 4 points

  • 2-Point Field Goal - 6 points

  • Try Assist - 6 points

  • Line Break - 4 points

  • Line Break Assist - 3 points

  • Tackle - 1 point

  • Tackle Break - 3 points

  • Missed Tackle - (-3) points

  • Offload - 2 points

  • Error - (-4) points

  • 40/20 or 20/40 Kick - 5 points

  • Metres Gained - 1 point for every 10 metres

  • Kicking Metres - 1 point for every 30 metres

  • Penalty - (-4) points

  • Sin-Bin - (-6) points

  • Send-Off - (-12) points

  • Kick Defused - 2 points

  • Forced Drop-Out - 3 points

Forced Turnovers and Try Saves will not be recorded in 2023


2022 Review

We have gone back and analysed which players would have been the stars of the 2022 Rugby League GameDay Squad season.


Note: Finals games have been included in calculating GDS season averages
