The Strikers will again be without the enigmatic Rashid Khan, however they have made some key signings. Maybe the most important is the re-signing of import Jamie Overton. The Adelaide squad will be pushing for a spot in the finals, particularly in the last two weeks of the comp with Alex Carey and Travis Head coming back from the test series. Must-Have Wicket Keeper / Batsman
Chris Lynn - 34
Chris Lynn’s hamstrings are both now 34 years old, but he doesn’t really need to use them when he’s seeing the ball well. When in-form, he’s one of the purest strikers of the ball in Australian cricket, and is the type of player to make or break your GDS round.
Must-Have Bowler
Jordan Buckingham - 24
A relatively unknown in Aus Cricket but, Buckingham comes into this year’s tournament with some great form with the ball. The Strikers signed him from the Brisbane Heat in the off season and he should find his way straight into the starting 11.
Must-Have All-Rounder
Jamie Overton - 30
Jamie Overton is looking like a must have now that he’s back bowling and bowling well for England. Despite being poor with the bat last season, he still averaged over 60 GDS points, so coming in as high as number 6 may even see that average rise a little in 2024.
