Batters - Jake Fraser-McGurk vs Aaron Finch
JFM smashed 48 runs off 24 balls against the Sixers and his card would be a great card to have as GDS is a dynasty platform. Is Finch a commentator or a cricketer now! Jokes aside, Finch is still a great T20 player but with Clarke, QDK and JFM at the top of the Renegades batting order, I'm not sure how much time he will be spending out in the middle. Shaun Marsh is also apparently fit and may play in this match. If he does, Marsh will likely be my third batter. If he doesn't, I'm leaning towards JFM as I was impressed with what I saw against the Sixers and he has been in good form for South Australia in the Marsh Cup and Sheffield Shield.
Start: Jake Fraser-McGurk
All-Rounder - Paul Walter vs Nic Maddinson
Walter has made an impressive start to his BBL career and has taken three wickets from the five overs he's bowled. Maddinson hit one six before being caught behind in the first over against the Sixers. In his last six BBL innings he's had scores of 6, 0, 0, 1, 0 and 2. He has the ability to score 50+ runs but with Clarke, QDK and JFM at the top of the Renegades batting order, I'm not sure how much time he will be spending out in the middle. Before I start Maddinson, I want to see how he performs in the middle order now the Renegades are at full strength.
Start: Paul Walter
Bowler - Mitchell Swepson vs Spencer Johnson
Swepson is bowling extremely well at the moment and he has taken five wickets in the Heat's opening two matches. Johnson has only bowled two overs in each of the matches he has played and only taken the one wicket. Historically, spin bowlers don't really score well in fantasy at Marvel Stadium. Especially when bowling in the first innings as they only averaged 3.6 points per over here in BBL12. I'm leaning towards starting Swepson, only because we are yet to see Johnson bowl his full complement of overs. However, if the Heat bowl first I might pivot and start Johnson.
Start: Mitchell Swepson
