Start Vs Sit
Batters - Tom Rogers vs Caleb Jewell
Both these players have had disappointing seasons in the fantasy sense. In the batsmen ranks for AUS Cricket, Rogers is ranked 25th with an average of 28 points and Jewell is ranked 29th with an average of 25 points. Rogers has ranked as one of the top three batsmen in a match in four of his nine matches. Jewell has ranked as one of the top three batsmen in a match in five of his nine matches. As you can see, there isn't really anything separating these two batsmen. I have Jewell ranked slightly ahead of Rogers for this match and this is solely because opening batsmen have had a lot of success against the Stars this season. Opening batsmen have averaged 51 points against Stars.
Start: Caleb Jewell
All-Rounder - Nathan Coulter-Nile vs Hilton Cartwright
NCN made his return from injury in the Stars last match against the Renegades. In this match the Stars were well beaten but NCN managed to get through his four overs and pick up two wickets for a score of 49 points. Cartwright has been going ok this season and averages 30 points. He has ranked as one of the top four all-rounders in a match in five of his nine matches. I was impressed with what I saw from NCN against the Renegades and I think there is more chance of him taking 2+ wickets than there is for Cartwright scoring 30+ runs.
Start: Nathan Coulter-Nile
Bowler - Nathan Ellis vs Joel Paris
Ellis has been a little disappointing in my opinion this season. I was expecting to average 40+ points but he is only averaging 32 points. Paris has looked impressive at times but he hasn't taken more than one wicket in any of his matches. I like Ellis as I believe he offers a higher ceiling and is more likely to take multiple wickets.
Start: Nathan Ellis
