Join us as Kerm puts on his general manager cap and selects his dream team going into round 7 of the AFL! He'll have the entire player pool to choose from, which should make selecting 6 defenders, 5 midfielders, 1 ruckman, and 6 forwards weekly easy right? Well, let us know who you agree with and who else you might have selected down below on all of our social channels twitter, facebook, instagram, discord.
Defenders (DEF)
Blooooody hell, so the elephant in the room... Mitch Duncan has got to go. Scoring justify 55 GDS fantasy points in one of the worst games i've ever seen him play, Duncan has got to get dropped off the back of that. The rest of my defenders were really solid, but who should we bring in for Duncan?
Tom Stewart
Geelong Cats
Verses Essendon Bombers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
Sunday at 1:10pm AEST
Round 6 score - 121 GDS fantasy points
Tom Stewart has been going about his business well while his defender teammates (Especially Mitch Duncan) have struggled a touch to score really well. It was always a matter of when, not if Stewart would make this team, he's been a fantasy star for a long time and now he's stringing the good game together to be the top 6 defender we all expected Stewart to be.
Luke Ryan
Fremantle Dockers
Verses Brisbane Lions at the GABBA, Brisbane
Saturday at 1:45pm AEST
Round 6 score - 144 GDS fantasy points
Bang! What a bounce back that was from Freo star Luke Ryan. After scoring just 85 GDS fantasy points in round 5, Ryan repaid the faith and walloped the Western Bulldogs in a loss for 144 GDS fantasy points. Ryan is proving to be one of the picks of the season so far and if he keeps up this form, he might be a mainstay.
Jordan Dawson
Adelaide Crows
Verses Collingwood Magpies at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
Sunday at 4:40pm AEST
Round 6 score - 117 GDS fantasy points
Speaking of mainstay's... Even a quiet game for Dawson is a personal best for other players at the moment. Dawson faces a staunch competition in Collingwood this weekend but I frankly don't care, Dawson is a gun and will remain a gun.
Jack Sinclair
St Kilda Saints Verses Port Adelaide Power at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Friday at 7:50pm AEST
Round 6 score - 114 GDS fantasy points
Good without setting the world alight in round 6 was Sinclair, 114 GDS fantasy points in a win against Carlton but strangely, Carlton dominated from a fantasy sense, having 6 of. the top scorers in the game. For me, round 6 was the best Sinclair looked so far this season so i'm happy to keep him in the squad for round 7.
James Sicily
Hawthorn Hawks Verses Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Saturday at 4:35pm AEST
Round 6 score - 135 GDS fantasy points
Sicily was back to his usual ways in round 6 posting a trademark score of 135 GDS fantasy points off the back of an 18 kick and 11 mark outing. Sicily is a jet, he'll be very hard to replace in this team.
Nick Daicos
Collingwood Magpies
Verses Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Sunday at 4:40pm AEST
Round 6 score - 160 GDS fantasy points
Literally the best player in the game...
Midfielders (MID)
My midfielders were so disappointing in round 6 I don't even know where to start. Rory Laird was good, thank god he turned up. Brayshaw needs a rest and he might get it with a suspension this week so he's going to get replaced. Parish was meh, I was expecting a lot more with Merrett out. I can always count on Oliver. Jack Steele is my own fault, I brought him in too early and he needs to be replaced as well.
Rory Laird
Adelaide Crows
Verses Collingwood Magpies at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
Sunday at 4:40pm AEST
Round 6 score - 135 GDS fantasy points
Another score over 130+ GDS fantasy points for 2022's highest averaging player Rory Laird and this should be business as usual for Laird going forward. He faces Collingwood but much like Dawson, he should prove to be matchup proof here.
Sam Walsh
Carlton Blues
Verses West Coast Eales at Optus Stadium, Perth
Saturday at 7:30pm AEST
Round 6 score - 151 GDS fantasy points
Walsh! Has! Not! Skipped! A! Beat!
Off the back of an interrupted pre-season for the superstar if anyone would be allowed a slow start to the season it would be Walsh but he clearly doesn't need it! 151 GDS fantasy points and he's one of my own personal faves, I'm excited to have him in!
Darcy Parish
Essendon Bombers
Verses Geelong Cats at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
Sunday at 1:10pm AEST
Round 6 score - 105 GDS fantasy points
105 GDS fantasy points for Parish on a day he historically feasts on and on a day which excluded Zach Merrett. Positives are that he still finished as the highest scoring Bombers player on the day, they just couldn't find it. I'll back him in to bounce back.
Clayton Oliver
Melbourne Demons
Verses North Melbourne Kangaroos at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
Saturday at 7:25pm AEST
Round 6 score - 126 GDS fantasy points
It's just what he does... not that I would drop him anyway but far out, dropping him would be a genuine offence at the moment.
Tom Green
Greater Western Sydney Giants Verses Sydney Swans at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney Saturday at 2:10pm AEST
Round 6 score - 0 GDS fantasy points
I like the idea of bringing Tom green straight back into the squad. Coming off a suspension, Green faces Sydney and likely James Rowbottom but the tag doesn't scare me too much... Green is a beast, i'm keen to see what he does in round 7.
Ruckman (RUCK)
Genuine set and forget right now...
Tim English
Western Bulldogs
Verses Hawthorn Hawks at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
Saturday at 4:35pm AEST
Round 6 score - 147 GDS fantasy points
#1 ranked ruckman based on average
#1 ranked ruckman based on total scoring
The numbers speak for themselves
Forwards (FWD)
Forwards are once again the hardest to figure out going into round 7. I'm going to do something against the law and drop Sheezel. I thought of Aaron Hall, Jack Ziebell and Harry Sheezel all co-existing is a bit too much to handle, so i'll be replacing the cheezle. I also want to drop Dunkley but i'm not brave enough. One more bad week and I promise he's gone!
Josh Dunkley
Brisbane Lions
Verses Fremantle Dockers at the GABBA, Brisbane Saturday at 1:45pm AEST
Round 6 score - 96 GDS fantasy points
Another bad week for Dunkley and my patience is wearing thin... he needs to go 120+ this week or he's out!
Jack Ziebell
North Melbourne Kangaroos
Verses Melbourne Demons at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne Saturday at 7:25pm AEST
Round 6 score - 120 GDS fantasy points
Ziebell top scored for the Kangaroos by 21 points on the weekend! He is in some incredible form and remains a must-start at the moment.
Tim Taranto
Richmond Tigers
Verses Gold Coast Suns at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
Sunday at 3:20pm AEST
Round 6 score - 156 GDS fantasy points
Again the most consistent forward in the game goes bang! He faces the Gold Coast Suns without Touk Miller on the weekend which could be an absolute bloodbath!
Stephen Coniglio
Greater Western Sydney Giants
Verses Sydney Swans at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney Saturday at 2:10pm AEST
Round 6 score - 159 GDS fantasy points
Set and forget.
Connor Rozee
Port Adelaide Power
Verses St Kilda Saints at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Friday at 7:50pm AEST
Round 6 score - 160 GDS fantasy points
A BOG performance from Rozee which earns him a spot straight back into the team to beat lineup. He was incredible on the weekend, filling up the stat sheets on his way to 160 GDS fantasy points, should go on with it now.
Jeremy Cameron
Geelong Cats Verses Essendon Bombers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
Sunday at 1:10pm AEST
Round 6 score - 114 GDS fantasy points
I'm not sure if this Jeremy Cameron train is ever going to stop! Another bag of goals and another big fantasy score... absolute freak!
Fringe players that just missed out on the starting 18.
