New to Rugby League!

Updated Player Pool

As the season evolves, so does the player pool. GameDay Squad has updated player cards based on team alignments, and positions to reflect the latest player movements and team dynamics. This update means users can expect more current, accurate lineups that mirror real-world NRL. The active player pool has been cut-down to aim the focus more to players that will have more of a direct use to coaches squads.

Multiple Competitions

For the first time for a full season in GameDay Squad Rugby League, comps now feature two new competitions: the Starter and Challenger competitions. These options cater to players with various experience levels and competitive preferences, enhancing the season-long experience by adding more tailored choices. Coaches also have the ability to join and participate in as many or as little competitions as they please, meaning more action and more ways to win!

New Player Card Designs

The 2025 Rugby League season brings an exciting visual update with redesigned player cards. These cards now feature improved aesthetics to provide users with a more engaging experience. The new design aims to make browsing player details easier and more enjoyable, adding another layer of immersion to team management.

Finals Footy is back

NRL Finals footy will be making return in 2025! GameDay Squad excitement all the way until the end of the season! Finals footy will be back!

Starter Pack Cards

In 2025 we will be changing and increasing the starter pack allocation for new users from 30 cards to 51 cards. We anticipate that increasing the starter player card pack allotment upon sign up will make it fairer and easier for new users to onboard. Below is the positional breakdown for how the cards will be distributed:

HOK: 6 (2x3) MID: 9 (3x3) EDG: 6 (2x3) HLF: 9 (3x3) CTR: 6 (2x3) WNG: 9 (3x3) FLB: 6 (2x3)

Here is an overview of some feature additions to the GameDay Squad platform as a whole:

Stats Center

The Stats Center now offers deeper analytics, enabling users to make more informed decisions. Updated visuals and metrics make it easier to track player performance trends and compare statistics, helping coaches strategies their lineups with precision.

Matches

The matches experience allow users to track game progress in real time and engage with live updates, giving them more control over in-game decisions and a more immersive match-day experience.

Mobile App Notifications

GameDay Squad has shifted notifications to the app, moving away from email alerts. This change means users can receive timely updates about transfers, market changes, and other important notifications directly on their mobile devices, enhancing convenience and immediacy.
